Haas Pavilion - University of California - Berkeley, The Walter A. Haas, Jr. Pavilion is the home of the University of California, Berkeley's men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, and men's and women's gymnastics teams. The arena is located in the middle of the main University of California sports complex, overlooking Evans Diamond and Edwards Stadium.

Hand Fan Museum - Healdsburg, The Hand Fan Museum is based in Healdsburg, California in the US. It opened in 2002 and has a permanent collection of over 2,500 fans spanning the centuries and the myriad styles of fans. Infineon Raceway - Sonoma, Infineon Raceway, formerly Sears Point Raceway, is a 2.52 miles road course and drag strip that can be found on the landform known as Sears Point in the southern Sonoma Mountains near Sonoma, California in the US. The course is a complex series of twists and turns that go up and down the hills. It is host to one of only five national NASCAR races each year that are run on road courses. It is also host to the Indy Racing League and several other auto races and motorcycle races such as the American Federation of Motorcyclists series.

Jack London State Historic Park - Glen Ellen, Jack London State Historic Park, which is also referred to as Jack London Home and Ranch, is a California State Historic Park near Glen Ellen, California, situated on the eastern slope of Sonoma Mountain. It includes the ruins of a house burned a few months before Jack London and family were to move in, a cottage in which they had lived, another house built later, and the graves of Jack London and his wife.

John Muir National Historic Site - Martinez, The John Muir National Historic Site is a museum that is situated in the San Francisco Bay Area, in Martinez, Contra Costa County, California. It preserves the 14-room Italianate Victorian mansion where the naturalist and writer John Muir lived, as well as a nearby 325 acres tract of native oak woodlands and grasslands historically owned by the Muir family. The main site is on the edge of town, in the shadow of State Route 4, which is also referred to as the "John Muir Parkway".

Judah L. Magnes Museum - Berkeley, The Judah L. Magnes Museum is a Jewish museum in Berkeley, California. It was founded in 1962 and named not for its founders, Seymour and Rebecca Fromer, but for Judah L. Magnes, an Oakland native who became a Jewish activist. Judah Magnes was a co-founder of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a well-known rabbi, political activist and speaker.

Healdsburg California offers plenty of child-friendly bounty, from accommodations in a charming hotel (we stayed at the Hotel Healdsburg) to the welcoming vineyards themselves.

The main attraction was the Point Reyes National Sea Shore. Our goal was to visit the Lighthouse Visitor Center at the farthest tip of the park, but we made several stops enroute.
