Morris Graves Museum of Art - Eureka, The Morris Graves Museum of Art is a museum that is situated in Eureka, California. It was named after Morris Graves, a significant painter and founder of the Northwest School of Art in the Pacific Northwest. Prior to his passing in 2001, he donated a substantial portion of his personal art collection and the use of his name to help with creation of the museum. It is located in the refurbished Eureka Carnegie Library building, which was the first to be originally completed in California in 1904.

Just outside of town at Trinidad State Beach you can explore some incredible tide pools. A ranger here pointed out barnacles, star fish, purple and green anemones, and a thick cluster of other sea life.
