Fort Lowell - Tucson, Fort Lowell was a United States Army post active from 1873 to 1891 then on the outskirts of Tucson, Arizona. Fort Lowell was the successor to Camp Lowell, an earlier Army installation. The Army chose a location just south of the confluence of the Tanque Verde and Pantano creeks, at the point where they form the Rillito Wash, due to the year-round supply of water. The Hohokam natives had chosen the site centuries early, presumably for the same reason.

Old Tucson Studios - Tucson, Old Tucson Studios is a movie studio and theme park just west of Tucson, Arizona, adjacent to the Tucson Mountains and close to the western portion of Saguaro National Park. Built in 1939 for the movie Arizona, it has been used for the filming of several movies and television westerns since then, such as Little House on the Prairie.
