Ohio, a Midwestern state, is bordered to the north by Lake Eerie and has a large coastline which allows many seaports. It has a humid climate, and summers are usually hot and humid, while winters are cold. Among the places to visit is Alum Creek State Park. It is open for swimming, boating, and fishing. In the winter it is open as well for ice fishing and ice boating. It is located north of Columbus, the state capital of Ohio. For those who enjoy seeing animals in their natural habitat, The Wilds is a privately owned and largest wildlife conservation area in North America. It houses endangered native and non-native animal species. It can be visited by a "safari" tour bus.

Allen County Museum - Lima
The Allen County Museum is a museum that is situated in the city of Lima, the county seat of Allen County, Ohio. Occupying a half city block, the museum campus includes the main museum building, a log house, the MacDonell House, a Shay Locomotive display, Military/Transportation building, the Children's Museum, and the Children's Garden. The museum is accredited by the American Association of Museums. According to recent reports of the American Association of Museums Accreditation Department, less than 800 museums, out of more than 11,000 in the US, are accredited.

Allen Memorial Art Museum - Oberlin
The Allen Memorial Art Museum is a museum that is situated in Oberlin, Ohio and is run by Oberlin College. Founded in 1917, its collection is one of the finest of any college or university museum in the US, consistently ranking among those of Harvard and Yale. The Museum complex is noteworthy for its architecture, espcially the Cass Gilbert main block and the Venturi and Scott Brown addition.

Alumni Hall - United States Naval Academy - Bowling Green
Alumni Hall is an indoor stadium at the United States Naval Academy, in Annapolis, Maryland. Completed in 1991, it seats 5,710 and serves as the primary assembly hall for the Brigade of Midshipmen. It is used for athletic contests — including basketball and wrestling — and is home for the Naval Academy women's and men's basketball teams, members of the Patriot League. Additionally, it is adaptable for lectures, assemblies, theatrical productions, concerts and official ceremonies and is home for the Bob Hope Performing Arts Center.

The American Classical Music Hall of Fame and Museum celebrates the individuals and institutions of the past and present that have made significant contributions to classical music. The hall of fame is located in the Hamilton County Memorial Building, next door to Music Hall in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio.

American Sign Museum - Cincinnati
The American Sign Museum in Walnut Hills, Cincinnati, Ohio, preserves, archives, and displays a collection of signs. The museum also displays the equipment utilized in the design and manufacture of signs. Tod Swormstedt began working on the museum in 1999. It opened to the public in 2005.
