AHH! California! Known as the "Golden State" because of its sunshine but especially because of the gold which was found here and which started the "gold rush" back in 1848. It is the State which is to the western most part of the continental USA right next to the Pacific Ocean. It is known for its beautiful coastline, white sand beaches, its famous wine country, and its Sierra Nevada mountain ranges among just a few of the things which make this one of the most beautiful and diverse State. It is also home to the giant sequoia trees, which are the largest living trees on earth. Among its many cities the most famous and most widely populated are San Francisco to the North, known for its Golden Gate Bridge, its cable cars, and its famous Chinatown, Los Angeles (its original name being Nuestra Senora Reina de Los Angeles), is home to Hollywood and is leader in the entertainment world of television, movies and music. Los Angeles and San Diego to the South, both enjoy a beautiful Mediterranean weather.

The 3 Par at Four Points is a 9 hole resort golf course in San Diego County California. Built in 1998, this San Diego course is open all year. Tee times are accepted by calling the pro shop at 858-277-8888. The golf course dress code is as follows: Shirt and shoes required.

A. S. Bradford House - Placentia
The A. S. Bradford House, which is also referred to as The Bradford House, is a historic home in Placentia, California. It was the home of Albert Summer Bradford, who founded Placentia by arranging for establishment of a water tank along the railway. Homes and businesses within a one mile radius could get water.

Adamson House - Malibu
Adamson House, which is also referred to as Vaquero Hill, is a historic house and gardens in Malibu, California that has been called the "Taj Mahal of Tile" due to its extensive use of decorative ceramic tiles created by the Malibu Potteries. The house was built in 1930 for Rhoda Rindge Adamson and Merritt Huntley Adamson, based on a Mediterranean Revival design by Stiles O. Clements of the architectural firm of Morgan, Walls & Clements.

Adobe Creek Golf Course - Petaluma
The Adobe Creek Golf Course is an 18 hole public golf course in Sonoma County California. Built in 1989, this Petaluma course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. is open all year. Tee times are accepted up to 7 days in advance and the pro shop phone number for reservations is 707-765-3000. The golf course dress code is as follows: Collared shirt, no cutoffs, denim OK.

Adventure City - Los Angeles
Adventure City is a theme park located in Anaheim, California near the city of Stanton. The park's slogan is "The Little Theme Park that's BIG on Family Fun". Occupying an area of over 160 acres, Adventure City is one of the smallest theme parks in California, and receives an average attendance of between 200,000 and 400,000 per year. The Coca-Cola Company, is the park's only major sponsor.

AdventurePlex at Marine - Manhattan Beach
The AdventurePlex at Marine is an indoor playground that is situated in Manhattan Beach Califorina. Their facility is operated by Beach Cities Health District, and was designed specifically for children and families. Children can engage in challenging physical and intellectual activities in a safe and supervised environment. There are mazes and tunnels, rope courses and outdoor rock climbing walls, an indoor gymnasium and a modern fitness room.

Aerospace Museum of California - Sacramento
The Aerospace Museum of California is an aviation museum that is situated in North Highlands, California on the former McClellan Air Force Base, which closed in 2001. It features displays of authentic military and civilian aircraft as well as space vehicle replicas. It preserves the history and mission of this former base as well as those of neighboring bases like Beale and Mather Air Force Bases. The museum was originally established as the McClellan Aviation Museum in 1986.

African American Museum and Library at Oakland - Oakland
The African American Museum and Library at Oakland is a museum and non-circulating library dedicated to preserving the history and experiences of African Americans in Northern California and the Bay Area. It contains an extensive archival collection of such artifacts as diaries, correspondence, photos, and periodicals. It is currently located in the Charles A. Greene building in Oakland, which served as the Oakland Main Library from 1902 to 1951.

Agua Caliente Casino - Rancho Mirage
The Agua Caliente Casino is an Indian-gaming facility in Rancho Mirage, California. It is run by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. The facility currently has over 45,000 square feet of gambling floor. The casino has completed a 16-story, 173-foot hotel tower which opened in December 2007. Currently the tower is the second tallest building in the Inland Empire.
