Arizona is located in the southwestern part of the United States and borders Mexico to the South. It has a desert climate with very hot summers and mild winters. However, in the northern part of the state the climate is cooler due to the mountains ranges with pine forests. The two largest cities in Arizona are Phoenix and Tucson. Its most famous feature is the Grand Canyon which contains a gorge carved by the Colorado River. It is considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Most visits to the Park come through the South Rim. There is also a smaller access through the North Rim of the Canyon. There is approximately a five hour drive between one Rim and the other. The Canyon is rugged and reachable mostly through pack trails. One can visit the Grand Canyon by the Grand Canyon Railway, a 64-mile ride from Williams to the South Rim. There are many other places to explore in Arizona including the desert which is rich with a variety of Cactus plants. Arizona also includes one of the best preserved meteorite craters.

The Arizona National Golf Club is an 18 hole public golf course in Pima County Arizona. Built in 1995, this Tucson course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr is open all year. For tee time information call the pro shop at 520-749-3636. The golf course dress code is as follows: No denim, collared shirt and bermuda shorts required.

Home to over 350 permanent hands-on exhibits, the Center is able to provide their 400,000 annual visitors with interactive experiences. Aside from the permanent exhibitions, Arizona Science Center has featured a number of nationally traveling exhibitions.

Arizona Snowbowl - Flagstaff
Arizona Snowbowl is an alpine ski resort that can be found on the San Francisco Peaks, 7 miles north of Flagstaff, Arizona. The base elevation of the facility sits at 9,200 feet and the resort receives an average snowfall of 260 inches. It boasts a 2,300-foot drop, the largest in Arizona, and has 5 lifts servicing the mountain. Two lodges, Hart Prairie Lodge and Agassiz Lodge, are located at the ski area.

Arizona State Museum - Tucson
The Arizona State Museum, founded in 1893, was originally a repository for the collection and protection of archaeological resources. Today, however, ASM stores artifacts, exhibits them and provides education and research opportunities. It was formed by authority of the Territorial Legislature. Arroyo Dunes Golf Course - Yuma
The Arroyo Dunes Golf Course is an 18 hole public golf course in Yuma County Arizona. Built in 1961, this Yuma course designed by Warner Bowen is open all year.
