The Great State of Wisconsin
Wisconsin is situated in the north-central part of the United States and is therefore, considered to be in the Midwest. It borders Lake Superior to the north and Lake Michigan to the East. Located between the Great Lakes, Wisconsin is a place with a broad diversity of geographical characteristics.
State Parks in Wisconsin are well known and worth mentioning again. Among those is Amnicon Falls State Park which has beautiful trails along the Wisconsin River. Pattison State Park which is nearby and contains the state’s largest waterfall: Big Manitou Falls. Willow River State Park is another place with a plethora of activities one can enjoy such as canoeing, fishing, camping and hiking.
A beautiful wildlife preserve can be found in Horicon Marsh which is the nation’s biggest freshwater marsh and where a huge variety of bird species live and nest; hawks, herons, egrets and owls to name just a few.
And don’t forget to enjoy Wisconsin’s famous cheese!
