West Virginia is a state located in the eastern United States. It is entirely located within the Appalachian Mountains and aptly named the "Mountain State". Charleston is the capital and the largest city in the state. The climate of West Virginia is humid subtropical. West Virginia outdoor activities abound with the many state parks available. Among these is Babcock State Park with a beauty that’s rugged yet serene. Enjoy the lovely hiking trails, swimming and along with camping and horseback riding. Blackwater Falls State Park is another gorgeous and picture perfect spot to visit. Among the many state forests available to visit in West Virginia is Greenbrier State Forest with miles of hiking or biking trails, cabins for lodging and campsites. West Virginia is truly "almost heaven"!

The Arnold Palmer Signature Course at Stonewall Resort is an 18 hole resort golf course in Lewis County West Virginia. Built in 2002, this Roanoke course designed by Arnold Palmer is open all year. Tee times are accepted by calling the pro shop at 304-269-2576. The golf course dress code is as follows: No denim, collared shirt and bermuda shorts required.

Big Sandy Superstore Arena - Huntington
The Big Sandy Superstore Arena, originally known as the Huntington Civic Center, is a municipal complex located in the downtown area of Huntington, West Virginia one block west of Pullman Square. The Big Sandy Superstore Arena consists of a 9,000-seat multi-purpose arena and an attached conference center. It is currently home to numerous concerts, events and will be the home of the Huntington Hammer of the Ultimate Indoor Football League for 2011.

Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park - Parkersburg
Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park is a state park located on Blennerhassett Island, a small island in the Ohio River, located in Wood County, West Virginia in the US. The property was the site of a Palladian mansion owned by Harman Blennerhassett, a participant in some of the alleged intrigues of Aaron Burr. While the original mansion burned to the ground long ago, a detailed replica, which can be toured, has been built on its foundations.
