Smith's Fort Plantation - Surry, Smith's Fort Plantation is a house and parcel of land located in Surry County, Virginia. The current main house on the property, which is also referred to as the Faulcon House, dates from 1751. The plantation received its name because it was the location of Captain John Smith's "New Fort," built in 1609, located directly across the James River from the Jamestown colony. The same land was later given by Chief Powhatan to John Rolfe as a dowry for the hand of Pocahontas when Rolfe and Pocahontas married.

Virginia Motorsports Park - Petersburg, Virginia Motorsports Park is a quarter-mile dragstrip in Dinwiddie County, Virginia, just outside Petersburg, . It opened in 1994 and hosted the NHRA's Torco Racing Fuels NHRA Nationals. It has a seating capacity of 23,000 spectators. The track has recently returned to the IHRA.
