It is a state rich in history and monuments. Ellis Island National Monument, Gateway National Recreation Area, the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, the New Jersey Coastal Heritage Trail Route, Morristown National Historic Park, and the Pinelands National Reserve are a few of the treasures in this state.
