Montana, derives its name from the Spanish word montaña (mountain) encompasses many mountain ranges. It is known for its wide open skies, its prairies, fly-fishing in clear rivers and streams or hiking and skiing.
Its national parks attract tourists by the millions: Glacier National Park, referred to as "the Crown of the Continent", and Yellowstone National Park which is known for the many thermal features especially Old Faithful Geyser, being the most famous one and natural hot springs.
