The Great State of Michigan
Michigan State is located in the Great Lakes Region. It is hemmed in by 4 of the Great Lakes and also Lake Saint Clare. Among freshwater shorelines, Michigan has the longest in the world. It also contains tens of thousands of ponds and lakes. Its largest city is Detroit.
Michigan is a great place for tourism. It draws nature aficionados, and hunters from all over the United States and also from Canada. There are lakes, forests and endless miles of beaches to satisfy every vacationer’s desires. Half of Michigan’s land is covered with forests.
Among the national parks to visit is Isle Royale National Park which is the biggest island in Lake Superior. You can visit Isle Royale Lighthouse, which is considered a historical place. The Isle is also inhabited by a population of moose and wolves.
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is another worthy place to visit with it magnificent scenery. It gets its name from the multicolored cliffs. They are naturally carved into arches, caves and patterns that look like castle towers. At this national park one can also find waterfalls, and sable dunes all formed by nature’s awesome and artistic hand!
