Maine is located in the northeast part of the United States and borders the Atlantic Ocean. It has beautiful coastline scenery which is jagged and rocky. There are low gently sloping mountains and densely wooded interior. It is also famous for its seafood: lobsters and clams.

It was expanded from its original capacity of 3,800 in 1992 in order to accommodate more spectators and bring the basketball team back from its temporary home at the Bangor Auditorium.
