The seasonal climate varies in Volcano with daytime temperatures averaging 72 degrees in the summer, and 68 degrees in the winter months. Visitors can also expect Volcano to receive an average of 10.31 inches of rainfall per/month during winter months and 6.51 inches of rainfall per/month in the summer months. The temperature has been known to get as high as 87 degrees in the summer and as low as 31 degrees in the winter so visitors planning a vacation to Volcano should check the weather forecast to determine proper attire prior to departure. East Hawaii Cultural Center - Hilo, The East Hawaii Cultural Center is a cultural center in Hilo, Hawaii, that has regular art exhibits and holds workshops and classes. It displays the results of hundreds of thousands of years of volcanism, migration, and evolution—processes that thrust a bare land from the sea and clothed it with complex and unique ecosystems and a distinct Ancient Hawaiian culture. Kilauea, one of the world's most active volcanoes, and Mauna Loa, the most massive, offer scientists insights on the birth of the Hawaiian Islands and visitors' views of dramatic volcanic landscapes.

Hawaiian Volcano Observatory - Kilauea, The Hawaiian Volcano Observatory is a volcano observatory located at Uwekahuna Bluff on the rim of Kilauea Caldera on the Island of Hawaii. The observatory monitors four active Hawaiian volcanoes: Kilauea, Mauna Loa, Hualalai, and Haleakala. Because Kilauea and Mauna Loa are significantly more active than Hualalai and Haleakala, much of the observatory's research is concentrated on the former two mountains.

Our room at the Hapuna Beach Prince was luxurious and Beach view from our patio was spectacular. It was a very reasonable rate for such an up-scale Hawaiian resort.
