The Great State of Florida
Florida, nicknamed the "Sunshine State", is located in the southeast of the United States and is mostly a Peninsula, with the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Gulf of Mexico to the West. Within the contiguous United States, Florida has the longest coastline. Its climate ranges from subtropical in the north, to tropical in the south.
Tourism is major in Florida due to its warm weather and beautiful beaches. It encompasses amusement parks such as the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando (which consists of four theme parks and is the largest in the world), Busch Gardens, Universal Orlando Resort and Sea World.
The Everglades National Park in Florida is a subtropical wilderness and is the largest in the United States. It gets many visitors every year, an average of about a million people. It contains hundreds of species of birds, fresh and saltwater fish and dozens of mammals and reptiles.
