Arkansas is located in the southern part of the United States. The Mississippi River mostly demarks its eastern border. It is a land of mountains; it contains within it the Ozark Mountains and the Ouachita Mountains, valleys, forests and rich fertile plains.

There are plenty of outdoor adventures and places to explore from waterfalls, caverns, mountain trails and scenic drives. It is a great place to go canoeing, kayaking and fishing. Here you can even prospect for diamonds at Crater of Diamonds State Park!
