Arkansas is located in the southern part of the United States. The Mississippi River mostly demarks its eastern border. It is a land of mountains; it contains within it the Ozark Mountains and the Ouachita Mountains, valleys, forests and rich fertile plains. There are plenty of outdoor adventures and places to explore from waterfalls, caverns, mountain trails and scenic drives. It is a great place to go canoeing, kayaking and fishing. Here you can even prospect for diamonds at Crater of Diamonds State Park!

The 18-Hole Course at Thunder Bayou Golf Links is a 27 hole public golf course in Mississippi County Arkansas. Built in 2002, this Blytheville course designed by Ault, Clark & Associates is open all year. For tee time information call the pro shop at 870-532-2621. The golf course dress code is as follows: Collared shirt, no other requirements.

Arkansas Arts Center - Little Rock
One of the leading cultural institutions in the state, the Arkansas Arts Center is that can be found on the corner of 9th and Commerce streets in MacArthur Park, Little Rock, Arkansas in the US. The Arkansas Arts Center was founded in 1960, but the idea began in 1914, when the Fine Arts Club of Arkansas formed. The group included supporters and volunteers who contributed to the realization of the Museum of Fine Arts in 1937 located in Little Rock's MacArthur Park.

The Arkansas Governor's Mansion is the official residence of the Governor of Arkansas and his family. The mansion is located at 1800 Center Street in Little Rock, and is included within the Governor's Mansion Historic District, a district that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum - Little Rock
The Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum is a maritime museum located at 120 Riverfront Park Drive, North Little Rock, Arkansas which opened on May 15, 2005. Its primary exhibit is the USS Razorback, a WWII Balao-class submarine which later served in the Korean, Vietnam and Cold Wars. The submarine was later transitioned to the Turkish Navy before becoming a museum ship. Plans are in place to also acquire the USS Hoga, a tug which survived and responded to the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Arkansas Post National Memorial - Gillett
Arkansas Post National Memorial, located about 8 miles southeast of Gillett, Arkansas, commemorates key events related to European-American history that occurred on site and in the vicinity: the trading post was the first successful French settlement in the Lower Mississippi River Valley; site of an American Revolutionary War era skirmish; the first territorial capital of Arkansas; and site of the American Civil War Battle of Fort Hindman.
