Known as the Garden State and home to famous Atlantic City, New Jersey is bordered by New York, the Atlantic Ocean, Pennsylvania and Delaware. It was inhabited by Native Americans for more than 2,800 years and is the most densely populated state in the United States. New Jersey has much to offer from its historical attractions, to its parks, beautiful lighthouses along the Atlantic Coast, museums, theatres, wineries, casinos, skiing, shopping and dining. It is a state rich in history and monuments. Ellis Island National Monument, Gateway National Recreation Area, the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, the New Jersey Coastal Heritage Trail Route, Morristown National Historic Park, and the Pinelands National Reserve are a few of the treasures in this state.

A. J. Meerwald - Commercial Township
The A.J. Meerwald is the state ship of New Jersey. She is a restored oyster dredging schooner, whose home port is in Bivalve, Commercial Township, New Jersey. Launched in 1928, A.J. Meerwald was one of hundreds of schooners built along South Jersey's Delaware Bayshore before the decline of the shipbuilding industry which coincided with the Great Depression. Today, A.J. Meerwald is used by the Bayshore Discovery Project for onboard educational programs in the Delaware Bay near Bivalve, and at other ports in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware region.

Absecon Light - Atlantic City
The Absecon Light is a coastal lighthouse located in the north end of Atlantic City, New Jersey overlooking Absecon Inlet. It is the tallest lighthouse in the state of New Jersey and is the third tallest masonry lighthouse in the US. Construction began in 1854, with the light first lit on January 15, 1857. The lighthouse was deactivated in 1933 and although the light still shines every night, it is no longer an active navigational aid.

Acorn Hall - Morristown
Acorn Hall is an 1853 Victorian Italianate mansion located in Morristown, New Jersey, that is on the National Register of Historic Places. It serves as the headquarters of the Morris County Historical Society, which operates Acorn Hall as a historic house museum.

Adventure Aquarium - Camden
The Adventure Aquarium, formerly the New Jersey State Aquarium, is a for-profit educational entertainment attraction operated in Camden, New Jersey on the Delaware River waterfront by the Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation. It originally debuted in 1992, and re-opened in its current form on May 25, 2005, featuring about eight thousand animals living in varied forms of semi-aquatic, freshwater, and marine habitats.

Afro-American Historical and Cultural Society Museum - Jersey City
The Afro-American Historical and Cultural Society Museum is located is on the upper floor of the Miller Branch of the Jersey City, New Jersey Public Library, its collection is dedicated to the African American experience.

Allaire Village - Wall
Allaire Village is a living history museum located within New Jersey's Allaire State Park in Wall Township, New Jersey. The village was originally established as a bog iron furnace known as the Howell Works, which the company's owner, philanthropist James P. Allaire, endeavoured to turn into a self-contained community. Allaire Village and its existing buildings are now operated by a non-profit organization - Allaire Village, Inc.

Allen House - Shrewsbury
Allen House, is located in Shrewsbury, New Jersey. The house was built in 1680 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 8, 1974.

American Labor Museum/Botto House National Landmark - Haledon
The Pietro and Maria Botto House, which is also referred to as Pietro Botto House, at 83 Norwood Street, Haledon, New Jersey is where leaders of the Industrial Workers of the World union spoke to the 15,000 striking workers of the Paterson Silk Strike of 1913. Elizabeth Gurley Flynn and Upton Sinclair also spoke from the balcony.

Anchor Golf Land - Whippany
The Anchor Golf Land is an 18 hole public golf course in Morris County New Jersey. Built in 1964, this Whippany course is open all year. Tee times are accepted by calling the pro shop at 973-887-0898. The golf course dress code is as follows: Collared shirt, no cutoffs, denim OK.
