The Great State of Delaware
Delaware is located in the northeastern part of the United States on the Atlantic Coast; its capital is Dover and its largest city is Wilmington. There are four parks which can be visited in Wilmington and they are minutes apart from each other. These are Alapocas Woods Natural Area, Brandywine Zoo (the only zoo in Delaware) and Baynard Stadium, Rockford Park and Fletcher Brown Park. There is a ferry system which navigates the 17-mile Delaware Bay and connects the city of Lewes, Delaware with Cape May in New Jersey. It is meant for transportation and doubles as a tourist attraction. The ride offers a view of three lighthouses. On the Lewes side are Delaware Breakwater East End Lighthouse and Harbor Refuge Lighthouse. On the New Jersey side is Cape May Lighthouse. The Delaware Seashore State Park is visited by millions of people who enjoy a large range of water activities. The Holts Landing State Park encompasses a pier which was built specifically for the leisure harvesting of blue crab. Among the several festivals that are held each year and the most popular is the Italian Festival in honor of St. Anthony of Padua, held and run by the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Several blocks are closed down and there are carnival rides, food, music along with many activities and games. It is held in the summer every year in the month of June.
Cape Course at Jonathan's Landing - Magnolia
The Cape Course at Jonathan's Landing is a 27 hole public golf course in Kent County Delaware. Built in 1996, this Magnolia course is open all year. For tee time information call the pro shop at 302-697-8204. The golf course dress code is as follows: Collared shirt, no cutoffs, denim OK.

Cape Henlopen - Cape Henlopen State Park
Cape Henlopen State Park is a Delaware state park on 5,193 acres on Cape Henlopen in Sussex County, Delaware, in the US. William Penn made the beaches of Cape Henlopen one of the first public lands established in what has become the United States in 1682 with the declaration that Cape Henlopen would be for "the usage of the citizens of Lewes and Sussex County." Cape Henlopen State Park has a 24-hour and year-round fishing pier as well as campgrounds.
Delaware Art Museum - Wilmington
The Delaware Art Museum is an art museum that can be found on the Kentmere Parkway in Wilmington, Delaware, which holds a collection of more than 12,000 works. The museum, founded in 1912 by the Wilmington Society of the Fine Arts in honor of the artist Howard Pyle, focuses on American art and illustration from the 19th to the 21st century as well as the English Pre-Raphaelite movement of the mid-19th century.
Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts - Wilmington
The Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts is Delaware’s only contemporary art museum. Founded in 1979, it is a non-collecting museum focused on displays of local and regional artists.
Delaware History Museum - Wilmington
The Delaware Historical Society began in 1864 as an effort to preserve documents from the Civil War. Since then, it has expanded into a state-wide historical institution with several venues and a major museum in Wilmington and the historic Read House & Gardens in New Castle.
Delaware Museum of Natural History - Wilmington
The Delaware Museum of Natural History was founded in 1957 by John Eleuthere du Pont near Greenville, Delaware and opened in 1972. It is known for its extensive collections of seashells, birds, and bird eggs. It is the oldest natural history museum in Delaware.

The park covers 2,825 acres. It is a major attraction for millions of visitors who enjoy the large variety of water-related activities available along Delaware's coast. The State Park Commission began operating Delaware Seashore State Park in 1965.
Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame - Wilmington
The Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame is a membership-based organization founded in 1976. The organization runs a museum with exhibits at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium on the Riverfront in Wilmington, Delaware and promotes physical fitness in the community.
Delaware State Capitol - Dover
The Delaware Legislative Hall is the state capitol building of Delaware located in the state capital of Dover on Court Street. It houses the chambers and offices of the Delaware General Assembly.
