<p>Autumn arrives in a fanfare of glorious color throughout the state of New York. Manhattan’s Central Park is just one place to admire it. See how the leaves in varying shades of orange, crimson and green reflect on the pond’s tranquil waters like an impressionist painting. Nothing quite competes with the majesty of nature.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h1><strong><span style="color: #000080">Colorado</span></strong></h1>
<div id="attachment_14897" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 510px"><img class="size-large wp-image-14897" src="http://www.totsandtravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/fall-in-Colorado-500x286.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="286" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Colorado<br />photo by Vicky Hamilton</p></div>
<p>All around the Colorado Rocky Mountains, groves of quaking aspen turn a golden yellow in the fall. And when the breeze rustles through the trees, their leaves appear to shimmer in the sunlight like golden silver dollars.  Behold: all that glitters is gold. At least in autumn.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h1><span style="color: #000080"><strong>Maine</strong></span></h1>
<div id="attachment_14901" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 510px"><img class="size-large wp-image-14901" src="http://www.totsandtravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/fall-in-Maine-500x332.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="332" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Maine<br />photo by Brent Danley</p></div>
<p>There is something simply enchanting about strolling through a carpet of fallen leaves that lay like rose petals on the ground. This is Maine. The changing seasons bring hints of winter in the crisp air, while the rich fragrance of sunbaked foliage is a sweet reminder of summer’s end. It’s beautiful.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h1><span style="color: #000080"><strong>Vermont</strong></span></h1>
<div id="attachment_14904" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 510px"><img class="size-large wp-image-14904" src="http://www.totsandtravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/fall-in-Vermont-500x375.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="375" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Vermont<br />photo by Bose d&#8217;Anjou</p></div>
<p>Everywhere one looks, Vermont seems to burst into color in the fall. Nature paints the trees in rich hues of red and gold, from what appears like wide brush strokes to delicate applications of dreamy color. It’s a masterpiece exemplifying nature’s abundance. Such lavish displays fill one with a sense of euphoria.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h1><strong><span style="color: #000080">New Hampshire</span></strong></h1>
<div id="attachment_14908" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 510px"><img class="size-large wp-image-14908" src="http://www.totsandtravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/fall-New-Hampshire-500x333.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="333" /><p class="wp-caption-text">New Hampshire<br />photo by Brian Gudzevich</p></div>
<p>Whether you go hiking along the Appalachian Trail or take a driving tour of the mountains, New Hampshire is one of the best places to see amazing fall foliage. In some parts, the densely clustered trees look as though they are sheathed in glittering gems: orange carnelian, golden amber, red rubies, emeralds, and a sprinkling of amethysts in the resplendent mix.</p>
